Episode: Invisible Light
LONG DESCRIPTION
Did you know there are colors of light that we can't see? Join the kids as they make a
Halloween day visit to Lexington's oldest fire station, the haunted Vogt Reel House, to
learn how firefighters save lives with a special camera that can "see" invisible light.
Discover the strange properties of an invisible world in which you can see through smoke and find people in the dark. Then visit IR camera manufacturer Bullard, located in Cynthiana, KY, to learn how thermal imagers work.
SHORT DESCRIPTION
The kids use an infrared search and rescue camera to learn about invisible
colors of the rainbow at Lexington's oldest fire station, the haunted Vogt Reel House.
AIR TIMES
"Crosstown Kids" presently airs on Fayette County Public Schools cable channel 13 and
streams live from the FCPS website.
There are no scheduled airings.
